COVID-19 SCHOOL UPDATE
As our school moves toward the STAGE 3 restart plan commencing on June 1st, there is some information that we will be needing from you.
1.) All students are invited back for in school instruction starting on Monday, June 1st. At Bernard Elementary, students will be in session either:
a.) Monday and Tuesday- 8:30-2:25 pm
b.) Wednesday and Thursday- 8:30-2:25 pm
- Parent(s) who choose for their children not to return to school will receive remote on-line learning every Friday from their classroom teacher.
2.) The school will be contacting children of Level 1 Essential Workers (Health Service, Social Service, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Emergency Response, Teachers, Educational Assistants,) and work on a schedule that works for their families. These students will have the opportunity of attending Monday to Friday (8:30-2:25)
Our first priority is to maintain a safe environment for all returning staff and students and our plan will be guided by the Provincial Health and Safety Guideline for K-12 setting. The District and Schools are currently working on a Health and Safety plan and we will have it available to you once it is completed.
- On Monday, May 25th, staff members from Bernard will be calling families and asking them what session they would prefer (Mon/Tues. or Wed/Thurs) or do they prefer to continue with remote learning for the remainder of the year. Children from families with Level 1 Essential Workers will be asked how many days they will need their children in school.
