September Start up!

I am so glad to be your child's teacher this year, and have really enjoyed getting to know them so far.

I think that it will be helpful for you to have some information about some of the schedules and expectations this year.  We have Library on Thursday, our Fun Run on Wednesday, and PE Tuesday and Thursday.  Our buddies this year are Ms. Smith’s grade 2 class.  On Fridays, as a staff we will be trying our best to show our commitment to the school community as well as our continued care and support of our friends in the Indigenous Community. If students what to join in they are welcome to try to wear Bernard Gear or an Orange Shirt on Fridays, but remember this is optional.

Because we do have pretty long mornings here, I always make time for a snack and break around 9:30.  This must be a snack that is healthy, such as a fruits, veggies, or yogurt.  This is in addition to the usual recess and lunch breaks and is during class time, so it does have to be healthy (sorry, fruit snacks do not count!).  If there is some reason that this is not possible for your family I have no problem doing what I can to help out.

In order for your child to use the technology available here at school, you will need to give them permission.  The permission clicks have been sent by Mrs. McCarthy, and it would be great if those could be done as soon as possible.
